Ambulances for Nepal

Access to primary health care in remote mountain regions in Nepal.

The Gorkha district and the neighboring regions are difficult to access mountainous areas. Due to the natural conditions, treatment often comes too late for many patients. Maternal and child mortality is high. According to the health officer of the Gorkha district, the transport of injured, sick and pregnant women with complications is indispensable. In addition to the timely treatment of the injured and sick, an improvement in transport facilities could massively reduce child and maternal mortality in particular.
